Totally flexible.

I’ll sit in with just about anybody in just about any playing situation across just about any genre you can think of.  I use a fab Yamaha electric violin for loud situations where everyone’s plugged in. Has a great tone, ¼ output and a headphone jack so I can hear myself in even Rock situations where everyone’s gone up to 11.

For acoustic/folk I typically play one of my gorgeous acoustic violins; one provides a strong, clear tone while the other is a lustrous match for folk music.

Super quick to pick up tunes: If I’ve heard it I can usually play it. And if I haven’t heard it, I improv accurately to add a rich harmonic and melodic layer. 

Oh yeah, I LISTEN: don’t play over others, happily sit out when someone else is soloing, and comp behind the vocals – never in competition, but in support.
